Biography of Harold E. Hamilton
Harold Hamilton passionately believes that limited government and free enterprise are the cornerstones of American greatness and prosperity. He has dedicated his life to supporting and advancing these concepts.
Born in rural Nebraska during the Great Depression, his family struggled every day simply to survive and attain a minimal standard of living.
After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he became the first person in his family to attend college when he enrolled at the University of Nebraska. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering four years later.
Hamilton moved to Minnesota shortly afterward to begin his career. After years in the computer field, he struck out on his own and founded Micro Control Company.
Micro Control Company started on Hamilton's kitchen table in September of 1972. Through hard work and innovation, the company has grown and prospered through good and bad economies.
Today, Micro Control Company offers good pay and career opportunities to over 150 employees at its Fridley, Minnesota facility. It is a recognized global leader in the field of semi-conductor testing. Corporate giants like Sony, Texas Instruments, IBM, and Samsung everyday rely on Micro Control Company equipment as an integral part of their quality assurance process.
Harold Hamilton remains as committed to his company today as he was 40 years ago, holding the dual titles of company president and chief executive officer.
Despite the demands of leading the company, Hamilton makes time to serve his community by giving to his favorite charities and serving on the board of directors of various non-profit organizations.
In addition to his Bachelor's Degree, Hamilton also holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, which he earned attending night classes. He has been awarded 12 patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has written many articles for scientific and trade publications on the subject of semi-conductor testing.
A licensed pilot, Hamilton most enjoys flying around the country to visit customers.
